Principal, Creative Director and Senior Account Manager
Dennis is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a BFA in Advertising Design. In his role as Creative Director, Dennis guides the process – critiquing, suggesting, polishing and honing, until most designers believe his brilliant ideas were theirs in the first place.
He is a current member of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications (DSVC), and is a past board member. He has been a member of the AIGA. Dennis has over 40 years of experience in the field of marketing design and advertising. He has won many regional and national design awards.
When he’s not at Benoit, you’re likely to find him creatively directing his motorcycle around some scenic backroad bend. And, during the Christmas Season, you’ll find him making his grandmother’s original recipe “Ollie Mae’s Louisiana Fruitcake” in our office kitchen. A highly requested holiday classic.
Principal and Senior Account Manager
The saying goes, “There’s no I in TEAM”. There is, however, most certainly an “A”. Our (type) A is Alma. Alma’s personality serves her well as one of our Principals, Senior Account Manager, proofreader and HR manager. Her diligence and attention to detail has pulled our bacon out of the fire more times than we care to count. She has been associated with Benoit Design since its inception in 1977 and has over 27 years of experience in account management. Alma is a graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She has held membership in the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and is a past board member of the Dallas International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).
Alma enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, traveling and learning anything new. All in their proper time and proper place, of course.
Jay’s family doesn’t understand what he does for a living. Perhaps that’s by design. “Design Avenger” by profession, Jay fights for truth, justice and properly kerned type. Playing the acoustic guitar, board games and watching classic movies with his family provides the perfect cover. He’s spent the last 33 years, after receiving his degree from OSU-Institute of Technology, art directing, designing and basically “avenging” his way to several design awards in prestigious publications and competitions. Jay has been with Benoit Design since 1997 where clients like Boyt, Dean Foods, Entergy, Flowserve, Mercer, Patterson-UTI, TGI Fridays, and Westwood know where to turn when they need highly conceptual, results-driven creative genius, with a dash of superhero-ness.
Recently, Jay and his wife Debra have launched into humanitarian work by founding and directing a faith-based substance abuse recovery program. Jay is the lead instructor for the juvenile division. Claiming victory, one day at a time.
Chuck. Charles. Charlie and, um… Chuckles. Just SOME of the names he’s been called. As you’d expect from someone with so many names, Chuck is varied in his interests and passions. Chuck’s big passions are family, design, music snobbery and (as a punishment it seems) the Dallas Cowboys. This penchant for variety influences his work with Benoit – besides being Senior Designer, Chuck fancies himself a closet writer and has been known to illustrate from time to time. Chuck has been with Benoit since 1999, and makes it his business to understand your goals and to design the best solution for meeting your communications needs. His work with clients such as Blockbuster Video, Boyt, Dean Foods, Entergy, Mercer, 7-Eleven, and Westwood has garnered numerous design awards in several prestigious publications and competitions. Chuck graduated from the University of North Texas with a BFA in Communication Design.
Chuck shares his home with his wife, Jennifer, their son Aidan and a tiny Italian Greyhound named Iggie Smalls. He enjoys being “the weird one” at family gatherings and most everywhere else.

Nick spends his time at home mostly occupied with two of his passions. Droppin’ some fresh beats, or droppin’ some noobs in an epic online battle of COD-Ghosts. His two dogs, Julio and Snickers, spend most of their time hiding behind the couch, wondering when the carnage will end.

“Legendary” rock ’n roll drummer by night, hard-working business development professional by day, Jordan is the youngest son of Alma and Dennis and the newest member of the firm. Often referred to as a “jack of all trades” – he prefers “renaissance man” – Jordan previously did production and design work for the Big 4 accounting firm Ernst & Young, as well as taught the basics of Adobe CS to interior design students as an adjunct at the University of North Texas. Jordan also helped run a small fiction book publisher for more than 8 years – designing, proofreading, editing and publishing a large array of novels, including two short story anthologies where he contributed his own literary penmanship – AND has more than a decade of customer service experience, including management, in the restaurant and hospitality industry to tie it all off. Jordan is always eager to meet new, friendly faces.
When he is not at Benoit, Jordan can usually be found at the gym or slamming his drums, having proudly played with various acts in the DFW music scene since 1998. Jordan attained his BFA in Drawing & Painting from the University of North Texas and dabbles in charcoals, oil paints and even 3D art when he finds the time. He enjoys reading and writing literature, personal fitness and the local craft beer scene.
